No, I'm not talking about Dave, Lurker and Jay! It's the newest effort from Damon Albarn that includes Paul Simonon from thee Clash. I'm sure you've all heard of them, but they have emeddable samples on thier site. A couple here:More on their site here.

I have this CD and will fertilize the pontoon some time in the next few days. I was going to go see them in DC some time last year (the album came out in early 2007 I think), but I heard it was very much a run through of the CD affair. That said, a chance to see Simonon may be something not to pass up.
Excellent, Andrew, very curious about this one. Hard to believe they're skipping Green Acres, NC on their tour!
Not to be Mr. Buzzkill here, but I think those tour dates are from last year. I believe they are recording a second album at the moment, so presumably will tour in support of that.
Yeah, those dates are from last year. I remember seeing they would be at SXSW last year. It's pretty much impossible to see a band there unless you're an insider, which I most decidedly am not, so I wouldn't have been able to see them this year either.

Yeah, Jay was going to spring for tickets so we could have a bastardos convention in conjunction with the NO show. OH well.
