What albums did you play more than any other in 2007? I find my list surprisingly easy to compose:
- Smoking Popes - Born to Quit
- Manic Street Preachers - Holy Bible
- Flop - World of Today
- Weezer - Pinkerton
- Of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, are you the destroyer?
And best discoveries of 2007:

This was the year I discovered the iPod shuffle, so albums got short shrift compared to randomly shuffled songs. Still, I guess the following would be close for most played:
Bruce - Magic
Weezer - Pinkerton (perenniel fave)
The River in Revrese - Elvis C. and Allen T.
Modern Times - Bob Dylan
Easy Tiger - Ryan Adams
Sky Blue Sky - Wilco
New discoveries:
Herman Dune
Stars
Spoon (new for me!)
Ted Leo
I LOVE Pinkerton!
What is Herman Dune like?
You guys are making me think too much. Ouch.
The Hold Fuckin' Steady got a ton of time on my players this year, as did Sky Blue Sky, Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, Easy Tiger, Under the Blacklight, and Neil Young and Crazy Horse Live at the Fillmore East. Ted Leo was in heavy rotation for awhile, as was The National. I also found myself listening to Planet Waves over and over again.
Best discoveries were Parasites (thanks, Dave), Ted Leo and Holy Bible (thanks, Dave).
Um, I gave you Holy Bible, fart knocker.
And I didn't even like it. Too much history for me, what with that dude carving himself up all the time and then disappearing. I couldn't get past that first song about buying a boy for sex and ripping his cock off. Yikes.
Sorry, I meant that to say Thanks Jay. And you're such a prude.
Holy Bible, I fell in love with the album art and it just carried over to the music.
But I LOVE Pinkerton!
