Driving Kendall (my son) home past a house in his neighborhood that was a flashing, holiday creep-o-rama, he observed, "they have inflatable characters for every holiday." Just struck me as quite droll for a 17-year-old.

We didn't decorate the yard last year, but we've got some white lights on the bushes and a wire frame snowman with white lights. Very, very tasteful.
Unless the snowman is delivering the baby Christ child from Mary's womb, I don't want to hear about it.
