Anybody Listening to Anything that Rocks?
After a ponderous spell with Okkervil River and the Silver Jews, then lots of roasting chestnuts and one horse open sleighs, I've been trying (unsuccessfully) to get into the latest Of Montreal cd. I'm suddenly dying for something that really rocks, and not finding it in anything recent. Any suggestions?

The Kooks has been working for me very well lately. I also put up Attack & Release by the Black Keys, which you may or may not like. It does have its moments, though.
Don't know if you jumped on the Arctic Monkeys bandwagon a year or two ago, but they are pretty great. I also dig the Killers, although I think will be pilloried by some quarters here.
Much obliged. I did pick up the Arctic Monkeys, but was on other things at the time, so this will be good to spin again. I definitely dig the Kooks and Killers, and look forward to the Black Keys.
(Sorry, I'm not trying to turn this into a musical blog.)
