The camera loves him! Interesting "bit" from his wiki entry: MacGowan got his first taste of fame when, in 1976 at a Clash concert, his earlobe was bitten by a girl he had previously been kissing. A photographer snapped a picture of him covered in blood and it made the papers[2], with the headline "Cannibalism At Clash Gig", turning him into a local punk legend. Shortly after this, he formed his own punk rock band, The Nipple Erectors, later renamed to the "The Nips". Now let's see who can find THAT picture.

Looks like he had teeth back then, instead of the jagged shards of calcified bacteria he now flashes for the cameras.
How does he eat? Or does he?
I remember at some point hearing that one of the Waves (as in Katrina and)was in the Nipple Erectors as well.
He is an ugly farker, but he is without doubt blessed with both writing and performing chops.
