The Nordic folk are the unparalleled masters of pop music. Exhibit A: ABBA. I LOVE them! Exhibit B: Shocking Blue. Who is that Dave? Oh the band that had the ubiquitous hit 'Venus'? Yes them, but go to your itunes or whoever and check out, 'Never Marry a Railroad Man', 'Hot Sand', or 'Send me a Postcard'. This shit is awesome! Exhibit C: Max Martin. Who is that Dave? Just the genius that wrote the seminal Britney Spears singles, not to mention a couple of pop nuggets for the Backstreeters, nSync, and all those folk. Exhibit D: Ace of Base. 'Cruel Summer'? 'The Sign'? Where does this shit come from! Exhibit E: Other stuff I'm sure I'm forgetting.
Exhibit F: Roxette. Remember the #1 hit The Look? And the lead male vocalist for Roxette? Per Gessle, seen in this video with his new band Son of a Plumber (which he actually is).
