Don't Let Me Down

This song is so tough. And this performance is so awesome. Don't tell me these guys hated each other or that the joy had gone out of the music. Look how happy John looks, bringing this thing to life and Paul just nailing the harmonies and weird structure.

Can you believe there are critics who claim the Beatles weren't a good live band? This clip also reinforces my belief that McCartney was one of the greatest bass players ever.

Never thought about it before, but I'll bet this song is a bitch.

The basic chord progression is easy- just F#m and E as I recall, but those licks! And that velvety, velvety bass! Damn!

That's one of my favorite Beatles songs. I have the complete rooftop concert somewhere if anyone would like it.

Their being so happy together is something to consider, but I know that even in a marriage dying a painful death that there are still some joyful moments. But then she starts her bitching thing and you your angry thing and then her her crying thing and.. oh, wait, we were talking about the Beatles, weren't we?
