I love beer. In fact, I really, really love beer. But sometimes, especially during the hot summer months, a nice icy cocktail just hits the spot. Here's what I'm drinking right now:
The Greyhound
1.5 shots Vodka
2 shots grapefruit juice
Combine and serve over ice. Damn, that's refreshing. Gentlemen, I ask you to share your favorite summer cocktail recipes on the comments page.

Even though Kram always called it an old man's drink, you just can't go wrong with a gin & tonic when it gets hot. I'll spare you the recipe, as you guys could prolly mix one in your sleep ...
Holy cow! This site is amazing.
Nothing like a pitcher of sangria for summer shade sipping. Cut up 4-5 oranges, squeeze 'em and drop 'em in a pitcher. Fill 2/3 full with red wine. Add a shot of brandy, then fill with 7-up and you're set.
Both excellent suggestions. Joe is probably too wasted to offer one up. And Jay, that site is fantastic!
Ice, good tequilla (Cuervo Gold will do nicely), squeeze a fresh lime, mix. Mmmm...
Or, Barardi anejo w/ OJ is nice as well. Or, you can put the tequilla and it's just as good.
I gotta go with Jay, though, nothing beats the G&T. And nothing was better than drinking Sangria the summer Kara and I spent in Spain.
Man, I need to go to the liquor store now. Thanks, Dave. Seriously, thanks!
Regardless of what "Kram" thinks, the G&T has been my drink of choice for many years, and is the only cocktail I have named an actual song after. One of my best, I might add. I'm not much of a tequila guy, unless its in a twee margarita. I'll now slink away.
I was this close to using gig money for a big bottle of Tanqueray on the way home from work. Probably tomorrow.
Hey, have you ever heared the Gourds' version of 'Gin and Juice'? It's amazing.
One of my country bands (Furlong) used to cover their cover. It was so fun. Our drummer Paul would come out front and sing it, as he had every single word memorized. A real show-stopper.
