That Davies boy was always a handsome devil. This is a nice score, thanks!

Awesome. Hey, did I ever tell ya'll about the time I saw Ray Davies ?! That has to go down as one of the best shows I've ever seen. The guy is just an incredible performer. I also saw the Kinks back in the late 80s (maybe 'Give the People What They Want' tour), but I was just a wee lad then and didn't know much of their stuff, and was much more interested in chasing skirts. I do remember thinking it was cool the way they'd bounce up to the microphones to do the choruses (chori?) and then bounce back, and that everyone in the place knew all the words to Lola and about half the other songs.

Man, you ain't kidding.

I would almost go so far as to say that I like the Kinks' live stuff better than their studio albums. How many bands can you honestly say that about?

They stomp ass!

The Stones' Ya-Yas album has given me a fresh appreciation of live recordings, I'm really excited about this one. It's cool that the guy can still rock, too.

Lots of boots here:

Can't vouch for the quality.

Oh my god, that's amazing! 25 concerts? Unreal! I've been sampling it for the last hour or so. Young Vic '71 is a dandy. Some of the roughness turns out to be interesting quirks, like on Berlin '72 about all you can hear is Pete's guitar and it's hypnotic!

Many thanks, my wise musical friend.

Monterey Pop Fest '67 is amazing. Shame it's just 6 songs.

The Live in Toronto '76 is evidently Keith Moon's last official show with the band.
