I honestly can't pick a fave, but it's frustrating for me that a lot of critics I'm reading don't seem to get it. One even commented on Adam Schlesinger's uncharacteristicly vapid lyrics. It's an homage, you dumbass! Even the publishing company is called Vaguely Familiar Music. Duh.
Oh yeah. This does NOT need to be clever or ironic. It's 1977 all over again. If they don't get it, fuck 'em, or nuke 'em, or send 'em to Joe's house. Whatever.
