When someone posted the Randy Newman song last week, it brought to my mind a Leonard Cohen song from about 15 years ago called 'Democracy'. Great tune, and I'd love to hear the verses he might add after the past 15 years. I can't embed the video, but you can find it here.

It seems that this entire documentary, which I remember watching back in the early nineties, is up there, and is well worth watching.

Yikes! That story was from '05. I wonder how things panned out? Or if that is why LC decided to tour this year at the age of 78?
I didn't know all that about him. What a nightmare. I liked the Chelsea Hotel story, though. So are we to believe that it was Janis who was 'giving [him]...on the unmade bed?'
