Google Gets Another One Exactly Right

Check out Google's new browser, Chrome.  Simple, clean and functional as hell.  Just what you'd expect from these guys.

Are you really going to jump ship from your beloved Firefox? Man, you're easy.

Is this a solution in search of a problem? To me this didn't provide any browsing enhancement over Firefox.

Well, five things that I see right off the bat:

1) It's fast. Like, really fucking fast.

2) There's less junk at the top, so I have more real estate to actually see what I'm looking for without scrolling as much. (Even the tabs are up out of the way in a space that other browsers waste.)

3) I, er, I mean Joe can create incognito pages for anonymous "research" sessions.

4) The default home page is my nine most visited sites. I like that.

5) Maybe I'm drinking the Kool-Aid, but Google says Chrome's been designed differently from the ground up. Read more here.

I didn't say I was switching, Joe, but my loyalty lies with whichever browser can provide the optimal web experience. There are rumors that Google is working on its own operating system. Would I switch?

Mmmmmmaybe ...

Funny, I just yesterday allowed Firefox to update itself to the newest version, and it is very buggy.

I had the same experience Andrew. It was conflicting with something that the older version didn't, although it seems to have smoothed after I hit several random keys and prayed over it.
