I originally purchased this disc back in 19 and 90, when I was a wee lad of 21. It holds up pretty well, I think.
From the sometimes reliable Wikipedia:
The album was voted Album of the Year by Q magazine in 1990. In 2000, the same magazine placed it at number 94 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever. For the love of God, won't you Fondue The Pancreas?

Thank you kindly sir. Caught an acoustic show of these fellas on XM radio the other day and it was very enjoyable.
Good stuff. I believe Karl whatsisname used to play with the Waterboys before he went solo, which prompted me to fiddle the prophet their first album, which I still hold in high regard. Also a couple of Smiths albums, and the GB&Q record. Salut!
Many thanks governor!
