Since we've returned from our Summer Sojourn 09 (WA, ID, Vancouver BC, NY, DE), we've had a run of bum luck. Caroline's Prius wouldn't start yesterday after sitting idle for almost a month (guess those batteries need chargin'); I'm suspicious that our AC isn't working correctly; and worst of all, our neighbor is attempting to chop up a rather large tree in her yard with an ELECTRIC CHAIN SAW. Which, instead of a manly noise of destruction, makes a whiny yelp of a sound, and has been for the past two hours. Shit.

Sad state of affairs, Dave. Inadequate tools make people look like 5-year-olds trying to play tee ball, or old people trying to use PCs. Frustrating as hell.
Welcome home, Dave. Is the tree down or did the neighbor give up?
