I was turned on to the Descendents by one Mr. Becker back in 19 and 93, six years into the band's last hiatus and three years before this, their 1996 triumphant return to glory. Fight The Power, listen loud, love it.
Yessss! Great choice. I actually don't have this. The older I get, the more I love the song "In My Van" (sample lyric: Here. In my van. I can fart. On your face.)
If anybody's interested, I can also talk about their last one from 2004, Cool To Be You, which finds the boys even longer in tooth, griping about marriage, single parenthood, jingoism and ... um ... explosive diarrhea. It's okay, but not nearly as good as this one.
Yeah, Joe, we saw that show, and hung out with Chad Price afterwards. Great show and a super down-to-earth, nice guy.
I've enjoyed the last Lemonheads album with Evan Dando and Bill Stevenson and the bassist (Karl Alvarez?) as his rhythm section. Two or three of the songs are Stevenson compositions, which I thought was pretty ego-free of Dando.

I LOVE the Descendants! Jay, didn't we go see All at the Antenna? It's all so blurry...
The Antenna, ah, the Antenna. I love All so can't wait to hear this.
