Caroline and I are off to see an obscure Irish rock band at Carter Finley Stadium tonight. I heard they're good. Someone said Sonny Bono is in the band. I thought he was dead.
How was the show? Glad you asked! Absolutely kick ass. First time I've really been to a 'stadium' show as opposed to an 'arena' show and my first U2 gig since 1992. Great setlist, featuring a lot of new songs (I'm a big fan of the album) plus 'One', 'With or Without You', 'Mysterious Ways', 5 from All That You Can't Leave Behind and a light and stage show that was mind boggling. Muse opened and was actually quite excellent.
Oh yeah, did I mention that the sound was better than you'd even usually get in a small theater?

Fantastic!
I've never seen U2, but I did see McCartney in a stadium. He was much smaller than I thought he would be.
Cool! I've never seen a stadium concert but it sounds like U2 is delivering.
I know a lot of people that are seeing them on this tour. Unfortunately I'm not one of them.
How have you two never seen a stadium concert?
