To celebrate the one year countdown to release, Zack Snyder has posted some first looks at a few Watchmen. And may I just say Gawd-Dayum! This film may well meet or exceed my expectations.
The Wikipedia worker bees sum it up better than I can. Read it here.
I guess I should mention that it's the only graphic novel to appear on Time Magazine's 2005 list of "the 100 best English-language novels from 1923 to the present."
Wow, chills. Could it really be this good? The Comedian is amazing, the comic character come to life!
Dave, this is the time and this is the novel to reconnect to your comic roots. It's fantastic, the Ulysses of the graphic novel. Thanks to Jay for subtly hinting that I should read it. (Something like "read it now or go fuck yourself in hell.")

My hardcore comic book fandom (and knowledge) peaked in about 1983, so I am very unfamiliar with the Watchmen. Premise??
