It's Me, God.

This guy is for me what Radiohead is for Joe. I can appreciate him and how well the songs are written, but his music just doesn't get its hooks into me. Am I the only one? Maybe I'll spin it again ...

Try the new one Jay. Admittedly, I'm a fan, but no less than six of the songs go through my head on a regular basis. Some of the things that make this album (Cardinology) different:

1) No vocal affectations. Just lots of great close harmony singing by RA and his other guitarist Neil Cassal. Actually uses a lower register than I'm used to.
2) No 'too clever by half' arrangments or show off type tunes.
3) Incredibly positive outlook on most of the songs. 'We Were Born Into a Light' is almost Hallmark like in its ideas, but doesn't come off as treacly.

Give it a spin. For The Punters.

I'm very much in Jay's camp on Ryan, which is, of course, a humiliating place to be, so I'll give it another spin, too.

Hmmm....and I'm in Joe's camp re: Radiohead. That's it. Joe and I are breaking up with you guys.
