Lost Cat

Stumbled on this blog the other day. Go read it.

Archer

Check out Archer, an FX animated comedy series that spoofs sixties spy movies while taking a poke or two at modern office politics.

I have to admit that part of the appeal for me is that the animation is gorgeous, very reminiscent of old Jonny Quest episodes.

Watch every episode from the first season here, but start with episode 10, "Dial M For Mother." Very funny.

I'm Rooting for Paraguay

Because if they win, Larissa Riquelme has vowed to run through the streets naked. Goooooooooo Paraguay!

Not That You Bastards Care

Portal, Valve's 2007 puzzle game, can only be described as sublime (90/100, Metacritic). I presume the follow-up will be, too ...

Anyway, Valve released this promo video today.

Something Left, Something Taken

Here's a very clever animated short by husband and wife team Max Poter and Ru Kuwahata.

Talented people still suck.

Maybe

Produced by Robert Rodriguez and starring Adrien Brody? I'm cautiously optimistic ...

Three and a half years

Jeff Skilling has now been in prison for three and a half years for being, as one of you put it previously, a douchebag. Now, as foreshadowed here, and here, he may be getting out. I know you all have been as anxious as I have about this, and that you will join me in drinking a modest toast to the hallowed principle that it is not illegal to be a douchebag.

Shit

Kinks bassist Pete Quaife has died.

The Be Good Tanyas - Light Enough To Travel

Dysfunction Junction

Word on the street (okay, on the Interwebs) is that Ryan Adams has contributed to the latest Weezer effort. Evidently Mr. Mandy Moore played some lead and did some writing with Rivers Cuomo. Should be interesting. No doubt Andy will buy it the first day.

Más aqui.

UPDATE: You can't make this shit up.
Ryan Adams has revealed that he has written 11 new songs inspired by his recent trip to Ronnie James Dio's funeral.

The singer-songwriter, who recently released "his first fully-realised sci-fi metal concept album" in the form of 'Orion', took to his Facebook page to announce the news.

"11 new solo tunes came out of nowhere," Adams said. "Day after Dio's funeral they just fell out. Soft mellow acoustic jams - lots of New Orleans scenery and vibe from the trip."

He added: "I am official[ly] very excited again."
