I'm starting to think the quality of a sequel (or prequel) is inversely proportional to the lapse of time since the original. Star Wars, Godfather 3, Indiana Jones, etc. Which means this will almost certainly suck a hole in the galaxy.
But what if it's good. What if it's really good? (I can't control my hopes.)

Ridley's directing, but he's 73 for crying out loud. Does he have the stamina for this kind of thing? Makes me wonder about the Alien prequel (Prometheus), too.
I love it when Bladerunner hits the local artsy theater and I can catch it on the big screen. It rox so hard that I won't care how bad the follow-up is.
Nice turn of phrase, Mike.
