I guess I should be more patient with an artiste, but to me this just sounds like some asshole who didn't earn a cent of interest on his savings balance demanding to know what % of one cent he earned.
Welcome to Warner Brothers. The good news is you finally got a job for a major record company. The bad news is you have to deal with Mr. "I work at Rhapsody."
How fucked is it that a label makes a band pay back the advance from the band's tiny portion of sales? You can be making money for the label - covering the advance, and then some - but still be in the red for a long, long time.

Ahhhh, the business of music. Funny business indeed.
But his larger point is, if they're screwing me over nothing, how hard are they screwing the big-time recouped bands?
$10,000 is nothing.
$9,999 is nothing. $10,000 is something.

I agree. Someone should set up an independent record label or something.
Nah, that'll never work.
