Interview number two, from The Commercial Appeal. We got the cover of Playbook, the paper's weekend insert! And a quote from Craig Brewer (Hustle & Flow, Black Snake Moan).
Jay, this is awesome. You guys are HUGE. Again. This show is going to be a MONSTER. Enjoy it for the moment that it is- revel in it, roll around in that mud and love it for what it is. I'm (sniff) so proud.
Man, what a nice article. It's like so much time has passed no one remembers that you weren't actually that talented. Seriously, like Dave says, enjoy it. I remember hanging out with some guys here in Austin and one of them had lived in Memphis. I asked him if he knew the Subteens and he said 'yeah, the Subteens were like the Memphis Ramones. You just always new they were going to put on a good show." A ringing endorsement, I would say.
And where is the Satan Never Sleeps Cassette? I've never heard that.
Thanks, guys. It's going to be fun, but probably my last gasp as a Subteen. Probably.
Satan Never Sleeps was recorded with Sean back in 1996. We didn't press that many, but I think I gave you some of that on that Subteens odds 'n sods upload a couple years ago.
Unfortunately, your assertion that Satan Never Sleeps is patently false. All biblical scholars will point to the passage in Jebedezekial Chapter 9, v. 12-14 that reads as follows:
"And yea, Satan will lay down his horned head and sleep the sleep of a fallen angel.
And the Lord looked down upon the accursed one and saw it was good.
And while Satan slept, attempted to tie his tail into a knot."

Was that the one you were going to call "Neighbor of the Beast" b/c someone's address was 667?
Man, Dave, only hardcore biblical thumpers are brave enough to pull out the Jebedezekial passages.
Nah, this was well before Neighbor Of The Beast.
And my mistake, Dave! It should have been more accurately titled Satan (Almost) Never Sleeps.
Is anyone going to record and or videotape the show?
It be recorded, but I doubt it'll be videotaped ...
It better be farted to paradise by Monday, Jack!
And how do we get ahold of British filmmakers -- Simon T. Rees and David 'American Dave' Brown? Did you know their names?
Working on it, Mr. Rowland!
That's a good question. I forgot their names, but since Donahue dug that up, I may try to track them down.
