C*cksucker Blues

The Stones' long forbidden documentary chronicling the US 'Exile' tour. Evidently it wasn't that the boys in the band didn't like it, but the were afraid that "if it shows in America, we'll never be allowed in the country again." All the more reason to see it! Evidently the legal deal that was reachead was that the director, Robert Frank, must be present whenever the film is presented. So before you watch it, you'll have to get in touch with him.

The title comes from the song the Stones recorded as the last single for Decca records and was clearly not meant to be a hit. Took me quite awhile to track this one down...unfortunately a live acoustic version, but you get the picture...

I grabbed a squigglevision DVD of this on eBay last year and sent it to a Stones-adoring friend. [After watching, of course]. Big ups.

Now if I could only see Let It Be.

Thanks, Joe.

Dave, I saw Let It Be on VHS back in high school. It was as depressing as you'd expect.

Let me check with my other Beatle-geek friend in NY.

That has a real voyeuristic quality, partly from the poor quality/editing and partly because you really want to see and hear what's going on. Nice find, Joe.
