Historical Cuban section of Tampa. I ate at the Columbia last time I was there, pompano, fried plantains and lots of sangria. Didn't see any monkeys, though, arctic or otherwise.
Lurker, that is probably my favorite restaurant. I didn't know you made it down to Tampa.
Dave, show was good, but not great. Some of the stuff off the new album is a little sludgy live. They did 'Red Right Hand,' which was awesome. Um...what else? They played for a little over an hour, which was pretty lame. Beers were $10 (motherfuckers). I'd see them again, though.
I used to get to Tampa at least once a year for work. Stayed close to Ybor. Haven't been in a couple of years, though. I was at the Columbia with a girl I had a delirious crush on and we were both a little drunk. Nice memory!

I mostly want to know what 'Ybor City' is. Is that a place from the Star Wars universe? Or do they charge extra for vowels in Florida?
