Ideas Worth Spreading

I've gotten kind of hooded on Ted.com recently. Ted is an acronym for Tasty Elephant Dung...no, seriously, it's for Technology, Entertainment, Design and has tons of tasty videos of speakers from the annual conference. It's basically a bunch of eggheads talking about creativity and technology, and things like that, but they are consistently engaging. The two that I have enjoyed most are by David Merrill, discussing computerized tiles that he invented, and Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi talking about "Flow," which is kind of like the zone, but deals as much with creativity and work as athletics.
There's also a pretty cool one about Robots taking over our lives. Don't we have a bastardo who has a robot fetish...?

Lots of interesting stuff there, including Thomas Dolby's blog. He seems to have recovered from his scientific blinding and now writes about a diverse mix of great music.

The robot lecture was badass, and a little creepy.

I still have to check out Dolby's blog. Did you bastards know he pioneered the song-as-ringtone technology that has so enhanced our lives?
