Saw this trailer last night before The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. (The brief glimpses of the space jockey's ship gave me geek wood.) I know Ridley Scott's good movies are few and far between these days, but color me cautiously optimistic.
I'm such a whore for dark techno-action cinema. Deep down I know that the previews and title sequences have been cooler than the actual films since the 1990's, but where's my damn ticket? I'm in. Special effects are just a tool, a means of telling a story. People have a tendency to confuse them as an end to themselves.
