The Flaming C, indeed.

I'm not jonesing to see Green Lantern, and now I have a deeper appreciation for why.

"Whoever invented this one, he was trying to uh, get out early for the weekend..."

Yeah but Green Lantern does feature my man-crush Ryan Reynolds. So I'll be there.

Dave: is it true that you lured Mr. Reynolds away from Scarlett Johansson so that Joe would have a shot?

Mighty obliging.

The DC universe was spawned in the thirties and hit its stride in the 40s-50s. Marvel was a 60-70s product, so much more relevant to me growing up then. The heroes were more human, the world a lot darker and I think the art and stories far more creative. To be fair, DC had to work within the boundaries of the universe its forefathers had created, but I never identified with any of its heroes. The reinvention of Batman has been welcome, though.
