Electric Bird Digest

This Fantastic Tune Parade is an early 90s gem from the beloved Fellows. Definitely worth a spin if you haven't heard it or haven't listened for awhile. Produced by Butch Vig and featuring great tunes from Scott, Kurt, and company, it is probably my favorite Fellows album. Hillbilly Drummer Girl, Looking Around, Thirsty, and Hard to Mention are particular faves. Enjoy Bastards!

  3. I thought it was, "He came out of the closet to the big city Memphis world." Either works.

  4. Our next head count phrase should be "Number of bastards currently outing Jay"

  5. I love HBDG because it namechecks the Antenna, a beloved Memphis punk rock club where we played back in the day. By the way, as his former lover, I can verify that JAY IS NOT GAY.

  6. Ah, the Antenna! In the early 90s it was rebranded as The Madison Flame and I saw the Subteens there. Or was it Nail? Both maybe, separated by a year or so. It still had all the charm of a neglected public toilet.
