They're still lining up financing, so it's not even clear that the movie will actually happen. I guess they're in that nebulous period known as "pre-production," which means they're definitely planning to maybe do it if they can. Hard to believe it's been 14 years since his death.

Has it been that long? Shit.
Glen Hansard from Swell Season (and the Frames and THE Commitments) was being interviewed once and he told about how he played a Tim Buckley song for his guitar tech and afterward, the guy says 'Yeah, that was by my dad.' Turns out Hansard didn't know Jeff Buckley was related to Tim.
