I had the pleasure of seeing Mr. Diddley in a ballroom in Spokane back in the late 80s. He used a local pick-up band and he was tremendous.
My first exposure to Bo Diddley was that horrid "Bad To The Bone" video from my MTV years, but I would say he's easily up there with Little Richard and Chuck Berry in terms of influence.
